Begrünte Wohntürme statt Betonwüste! AfD fordert Überarbeitung des Bebauungsplans Gehrenseestraße / Wollenberger Straße

Die beiden Projektpartner Belle Époque GmbH und die HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH werden in den nächsten Jahren im Lichtenberger Stadtteil Hohenschönhausen an der Gehrensee-, Haupt-, und Wollenberger Straße ein Hochhausquartier mit mehr als 1.000 Wohnungen errichten. Häuser mit bis zu 21 Geschossen sind geplant. Die AfD hatte dazu eine Große Anfrage in der BVV gestellt. In der BVV-Sitzung am Donnerstag, 22. September, wird über die Antworten des Bezirksamts diskutiert.

Dietmar Drewes, AfD-Fraktionsvorsitzender in der BVV Lichtenberg, erklärt dazu:

„Das Bezirksamt hat unsere Große Anfrage beantwortet und wir sind entsetzt, was für ein lebensfeindlicher Entwurf von der Belle Époque GmbH und der landeseigenen Howoge Wohnungsbaugesellschaft für das Quartier an der Gehrenseestraße / Wollenberger Straße vorgelegt wurde. Mehrere Tausend Menschen sollen in einer unzumutbaren Dichte aufeinander wohnen. Der Plan eines „Auto-armen Quartiers“ hört sich besser an, als er ist, denn die Bewohner werden ihre Autos dann im Umfeld des Quartiers parken und dort die Parkplatzsituation weiter verschärfen. Dringend nötige Grünflächen planen die Investoren gar nicht erst ein. Sie wollen diese finanziell ausgleichen. Das heißt im Klartext: Sie wollen sich von der Verantwortung für ein lebenswertes Wohnumfeld freikaufen. Zu so einem positiven Umfeld gehören auch ein Konzept für den öffentlichen Nahverkehr und der Brückenschlag zum historischen Dorfkern – beides fehlt im Plan der Investoren!“

Gisela Starke, AfD-Bezirksverordnete in der BVV Lichtenberg, betont:

„Wir wollen das urbane Quartier optisch hervorheben und für die Bewohner attraktiver machen. Der geplante Wohnturm soll mit einer Vielzahl von Pflanzen eine grüne Fassade erhalten, und zwar auf allen vier Seiten, nach dem Vorbild des Green-Tower in Mailand. Dann könnte dieser Wohnturm sogar noch höher ausfallen und einen zweiten neben sich dulden. Die geplanten Blockbauten wären überflüssig, weil genug Wohnraum entstünde. Auf den freibleibenden Flächen finden die fehlenden Grünanlagen und ein komfortabler Schulbau ihren Platz. Das Errichten begrünter Wohntürme ist noch neu, erfordert mehr Kapital und auch mehr Aufwand in der Unterhaltung, bietet aber auch einen größeren Komfort. Zudem haben wir es mit hitze-resistenten, klima-freundlichen Bauwerken zu tun. Zahlungskräftige und finanziell schwache Mieter können davon profitieren, wie ein Beispiel aus Holland zeigt. In Berlin ist diese Bauweise noch nicht angekommen. Lichtenberg kann Vorreiter werden beim Modellbau mit grünem Hitzeschutz. Die Bundesbauministerin kündigte bereits an, Projekte mit Fassadenbegrünung fördern zu wollen.“
